Hello! I am excited to share our photos with the
Not Back to School Week Blog Hop: Student Photo Week at Heart of the Matter Online. This week's hop is an opportunity to share student photos! I am thankful that before we began our first year of home education when my children were beginning Kindergarten and Preschool, that I decided to take their picture in front of our front door each year. If you can find a way to take one picture that is in the same place each year to compare it to the following years, it is really fun to see how they have grown!
Here is our first photo from August of 2006 and our photos from August of 2011. Then, I took a photo of each of them individually, so that their name and grade on their binder cover page can be seen and remembered. It is amazing to me that I now have a 5th grader and a 3rd grader to enjoy teaching every day! They have grown in stature and I can already see how much they have grown in their abilities, in wisdom, and in just growing up. They are so much fun! I am thankful to get to be with them, teaching them at home and building our relationships. No education is perfect, but home education has been a huge blessing for our family! My heart is always stirred up in gratitude and emotion when I look at that first picture and compare it to the newest photo.
