Washington D.C. Trip Highlights

We spent a week in Washington D.C. in April!  This was a first trip to our nation's capital city for all four of us, so it was fun to explore such a historic place all together.  We were amazed at all of the beautiful buildings with their varying styles of architecture and artistic decor.  It was a significant trip for us to take after learning about American history all year and it was so powerful to take it right now, while this is still so fresh in our minds.  Being in a place where so many pictures have been taken, actually walking along the path of cherry trees and stopping at the monuments was amazing. I was in awe of the actual Magna Carta, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and the Bill of Rights all at the National Archives.  We enjoyed touring some of the Smithsonian museums, but we will have to go back to see more of them.  Here is a glimpse of our trip.
