In my life this week…
It's been a busy, but good week. We were blessed with beautiful weather and temperatures getting into the 60's for a couple of afternoons this week!
In our homeschool this week…
Monday was our day in classes with our Classical Conversations community. Tuesday was a FIELD TRIP with other CC families. We saw a musical drama portrayal of Freedom Train, the story of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. It was well done and brought to life this era of brave and courageous fighters against slavery. We had a fun time with our CC friends on the one hour drive back and forth, lunch, and even playing at a park that afternoon together. The rest of the week we worked hard on all of our lessons, especially in wrapping up the research reports that we have been working on! The weather was no pleasant that we even diagrammed sentences with chalk on our driveway, while enjoying some fresh air!In our homeschool this week…
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
We love sushi and we invited another CC family over for homemade sushi on Friday night! We have been wanting to learn how to make sushi rolls because we enjoy going out to eat them so much. We shipped Japanese plates and chopsticks back from our trip to Epcot this winter and finally tried them out with our friends. It was a fun evening and we learned how to make sushi rolls from our friends. The kids all played well together, we enjoyed good food and good company!

I am reading through the Good Morning Girls Bible study of the book of Ephesians and studied part of Chapter 4 this week.

Communities in our state were greatly devastated by last week's storms and tornadoes. Many local businesses and churches are gathering collections of supplies to deliver to those in need.
Baby Elise is on a regular ventilator and is supposed to be able to begin "Kangaroo Kare" this weekend with her parents! I am excited that our friends are finally going to hold their 3 week old baby!
